Instrument Tuition

Every Long Bay College student has the opportunity to receive tuition in a wide variety of musical instruments (including voice). Itinerant musicians visit the school during the day and for weekly lessons. The students benefit by learning a new instrument or developing their skills in a musical instrument of their choice. Students who take Music as one of their subjects are also able to take paired lessons or individual lessons. In many cases there will be a school instrument available for students to use for free.

Music lessons are provided for between 20-30 minutes weekly, excluding days the school is closed for instruction and staff-only days. To accommodate the fixed 5-day school timetable, music lesson times will be rotated each term and will begin in Week 3 of Term 1.

Registration for 2025 is currently closed. Students who take Music as a timetabled subject will be given priority.

Should you wish to enquire about the waiting list for any lessons, please don't hesitate to contact our music department.
