L3 Design and Visual Communication
L3DVC Course DescriptionTeacher in Charge: Miss J. Durdevic.
A single, full year project from a student driven perspective. Brief, context and specifications are researched extensively by students before design ideation and refinement begins. After refinement students have the option to delve in authentic technical drawing or promote their work in a formal exhibition space. Students will use a range of modes and media to communicate design ideas. This includes the laser cutter, 3D printer, sketching tablets, CAD, model making and more.

Assessment Information
Assessment for the course is by portfolio. Students are recommended to choose a maximum of two portfolio subject in the same academic year.
Animator/Digital Artist, Advertising Specialist, Copywriter, Sales and Marketing Manager, Patternmaker, Architect, Architectural Technician, Art Director (Film, Television or Stage), Film and Video Editor, Glazier, Tailor/Dressmaker, Biomedical Engineer, Biomedical Technician, Metal Worker, Boat Builder, Naval Architect, Tattoo Artist, Print Finisher, Building and Construction Manager

In addition to some general stationery, your DVC teacher will highlight individual equipment needed at the start of the course.
For this course you are likely to need:
- Laptop capable of running CAD software such as Fusion360
- USB Drive 16GB
- Adobe Creative Suite (will be provided through school login)
