L3 Design and Visual Communication
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Miss J. Durdevic.
A single, full year project from a student driven perspective. Brief, context and specifications are researched extensively by students before design ideation and refinement begins. After refinement students have the option to delve in authentic technical drawing or promote their work in a formal exhibition space. Students will use a range of modes and media to communicate design ideas. This includes the laser cutter, 3D printer, sketching tablets, CAD, model making and more.

EQUIPMENT/STATIONERY:
In addition to some general stationery, your DVC teacher will highlight individual equipment needed at the start of the course.
For this course you are likely to need:
- Laptop capable of running CAD software such as Fusion360
- USB Drive 16GB
- Adobe Creative Suite (will be provided through school login)

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
