This intensive and creative course builds on the skills learned in Level 2. Students will produce a dance in groups and learn a repertoire of contrasting dances from different genres to display the varying techniques. Students will develop their skills further to analyse their own learning and performance practices as well as their own and others' choreography. This course explores knowledge and understanding of dance in Aotearoa in a written external exam. Appropriate dance clothing is required.
Students will perform in the dance showcase evening.

Confirmed stationary lists will be available at the beginning of the school year. It is unlikely that this course will require any items in addition to a laptop computer and some general stationery.
Although we aim to enable every learner to be enrolled in their preferred courses, your selection does not guarantee a course will be available, or that you have approval to take a selected course. Final course confirmation is in January and depends on your final results, and in some cases, class sizes and staff availability.
