Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Miss J. Durdevic.

A one semester course that extends both practical and theory skills in Architecture and Product design. Those students not involved in year 9 DVC gain knowledge, whilst acting as a developmental refresher for those who completed Year 9 DVC. 

Further development towards the key areas includes:  • Understanding of design ideation and refinement  • Understanding of design context and real-world problem solving  • Design sketching, crating, rendering  • Architecture case studies  • Engineering and technical drawing content  • Communication design.  High end Technology skills; • Adobe Software  • Autodesk Software  • 3D Printer   • Laser cutter  • Model making/prototyping

EQUIPMENT/STATIONERY:
In addition to a laptop computer and some general stationery, specific items for each course will be confirmed at the beginning of each school year.
As an indication, for this course you are likely to need:
- USB Drive 16GB

Note: A National Art Supplies form will be provided at the beginning of the year. Your DVC teacher will highlight individual equipment needed.
