Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms K. Howe.
Level 1 Health equips students with the foundation skills and knowledge to begin their pathway in Health Education. Health is an ever-growing industry with more opportunities opening up to students who choose this pathway. At level 1 students will learn about practical life skills and relevant Health issues.
This course is theoretically based and all assessments have a written format.
Students will cover, in greater detail,
- Mental health education topics where Whanaungatanga / Connectedness feature,
- Relationships and sexuality education topics where Whanaungatanga / Connectedness feature
Food education topics where Whanaungatanga / Connectedness feature.

EQUIPMENT/STATIONERY:
Confirmed stationary lists will be available at the beginning of the school year. It is unlikely that this course will require any items in addition to a laptop computer and some general stationery.
