L1 Digital Technology Studies
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr F. Khan.
Students will learn how to:
- Develop a website using HTML and CSS
- Take end users into account and use the process of iteration throughout their design, development and testing phase
- Effectively use design elements
- Address relevant implications in their outcomes e.g. understanding the correct ethical procedures when producing, using and storing data
- Create a flexible and robust program using Python/Java as the programming language whilst following conventions of these programming languages
- Test and debug in an organised way with expected, boundary and unexpected data
- Demonstrate understanding of Human Computer interaction(HCI) using Nielson’s Heuristics (3 hour external examination)

EQUIPMENT/STATIONERY:
In addition to a laptop computer and some general stationery, specific items for each course will be confirmed at the beginning of each school year.
As an indication, for this course you are likely to need:
- USB Drive 16GB
