Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Miss A. Lambert, Mr J. Kyle.
This course is divided into the following areas: Performance – Students are required to perform pieces of music on their chosen performance instrument/voice, as a soloist. They also have the option to perform as a member of a group. Composition – Students learn composing skills and compose two original pieces of music. Score Reading: Students identify, describe and demonstrate understanding and application of theory and musical elements used in music scores and students will develop listening skills through melodic and rhythmic transcription.
All students must be learning a musical instrument through formal tuition either privately or through the school itinerant programme.

EQUIPMENT/STATIONERY:
In addition to a laptop computer and some general stationery, specific items for each course will be confirmed at the beginning of each school year.
As an indication, for this course you are likely to need:

- 14M5 Music Loose Leaf Refill
- 2B Pencils x3
- 32GB USB Drive
- Headphones
Note:
Electric Guitarists/Bassists need own lead
Drummers need own sticks
