10 Music Rock-Pop

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Miss A. Lambert, Mr J. Kyle.

This course builds on the 9 MSC course and a further is exploration of Music consisting of the following components: Instrumental Performances of Guitar, Drums and/or an instrument of their choosing, Continuation of Music Theory in preparation for L1MUS, Producing Music on a Digital Audio Workstation, Group Performance, Listening Exercises using the Elements of Music, Genres and History of Contemporary Music. Students will have the opportunity to play and perform on the guitar, drums, and a variety of percussion instruments.

EQUIPMENT/STATIONERY:
In addition to a laptop computer and some general stationery, specific items for each course will be confirmed at the beginning of each school year.
As an indication, for this course you are likely to need:
- 20 Pocket Clear File
- 2B Pencils x3

Note:
Electric Guitarists/Bassists need own lead
Drummers need own sticks
