10 Sports Science and Athletic Development

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr K. Parslow.

Students will use the context of sport and physical education to develop their understanding of sports science and athletic development.  This course aims to challenge students to apply learning around aspects of anatomy, biomechanics and exercise physiology to their own sports.  Learn and apply knowledge around methods and principles of training and analyse aspects of a healthy school environment.

Students will engage in learning in both practical and theoretical contexts.

In addition to a laptop computer and some general stationery, specific items for each course will be confirmed at the beginning of each school year.
